Abstract and Applied Analysis is a peer-reviewed mathematical journal focusing on papers in the fields of abstract and applied analysis and traditional forms of analysis such as linear and nonlinear, both ordinary and partial differential equations, optimization theory, and control theory. It was established by Athanassios G. Kartsatos (University of South Florida, Tampa) in 1996, who was editor-in-chief until 2005. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2009 impact factor of 2.221.[1]
